So you think you can play?

Although I have many friends, very few of them really know I can play the guitar. I started when I was about 9 years old, holding my cousin's guitar, who by the way, was a self-taught talented musician as well as his twin brother. Little did I know, that this simple yet complicated instrument would be used as an extension of my body to compensate for my inability to express my feelings. Yet I'm glad I was that shy little boy that I was otherwise I would have never been able to cope with the frustrating lessons both my cousins taught me. My fingers were too small and I could hardly hold the guitar yet I strummed my first chord. I really thank my cousins for everything I have accomplished so far in life. They taught me to focus, to be constant, to be persistent, to be dedicated during these lessons and I have applied these principles to practically everything I have done. One of my cousins passed away while in his twenties yet he is with me with every chord and every lesson I now teach.

So you think you can play the guitar?
You'll get yours and I'll get mine.
From one music lover to another, enjoy !
